Now 18 years old and beginning her college journey, Suri is once again making headlines as fans marvel at her dramatic transformation from a chubby-cheeked little girl into a confident young woman.

And while many are impressed by how much she has grown up, one debate continues to dominate social media whenever new photos emerge: does she look more like her mother or her father?

Suri was born in Santa Monica, California, and spent much of her early childhood in front of cameras as paparazzi documented outings with her famous parents. Her first official portrait, featured on the cover of Vanity Fair, became a worldwide sensation when she was just six months old.

When introducing their daughter to the world, Tom Cruise revealed that he and Katie Holmes had chosen the name Suri long before her birth. According to Cruise, the couple felt convinced they were expecting a girl and settled on the name early in the pregnancy. The name held special significance for them, carrying two beautiful meanings: “princess” in Hebrew and “red rose” in Persian.
