15 Minute Classic Tuna Salad Recipe

Storage & Meal Prep Tips

How to Store

Store tuna salad in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 to 4 days.

How to Keep It Fresh

Keep the tuna salad chilled and stir before serving. Add fresh herbs, lemon juice, or extra celery right before eating if you want the flavor brighter.

Can You Freeze Tuna Salad?

Freezing is not recommended because mayo-based tuna salad can separate and become watery after thawing.

Best Meal Prep Tip

Store tuna salad separately from bread, lettuce, crackers, or wraps so everything stays fresh and crisp.
